"Smart Eco Campus"
Inculcating the belief that the House of Education is like the House of God, DSU Campus has been inspired by the "Shikhara" wherein the interactive spaces for devotees are on a raised platform. Similarly, in the campus, the Academic Podium and College Tower have been emphasized upon by giving these structures a significant height.
The idea was to develop a sustainable learning environment wherein the students and faculty feel relaxed and coexistence with nature is highlighted within the campus. Openings in roofs, pockets of green spaces within the buildings and water bodies are the focal points in this university. Sustainability has been achieved by strategies like Integrated Waste Management, Rainwater Harvesting, Green Roofs, Dynamic ETFE Skylights and Natural Ventilation among other such methods.
